When she first broke her domestic violence story on Instagram, Nollywood actress Mercy Aigbe whose original Instagram handle was @mercyaigbegentry quickly changed it to realmercyaigbe to dissociate herself from her abusive husband, Lanre Gentry.
At a point, she left Instagram temporarily before returning with a new handle @ official_mercyaigbe.
Fans are of the opinion that the actress is doing this to prevent her Instagram profile with 2.1million followers from being hijacked by her husband’s team.
